Observations
The proportion of those aged 19 with a level 3 equivalent qualification has increased before levelling off at 60% in recent years. Of the G7 countries, the PISA maths score for the UK is most similar to France. Japan and Canada have consistently had the highest scores.
Indicator 3.2.1 – PISA score
Mathematical performance measures the mathematical literacy of a 15 year-old to formulate, employ and interpret mathematics. The score is the mean for the year.
