The Sectors insight project seeks to understand what makes an effective sectoral approach by analysing UK and international strategies.

The project will review the literature and evidence on the UK and international sectoral approaches, highlighting key characteristics, policy levers and impacts. In-depth case studies and qualitative evidence collection will inform the project. 

The first paper was published in October 2020 - The Sectoral Landscape: An Evidence Review considers the big-picture and examines broad trends in the sectoral composition of the UK economy.

The second paper was also published in October 2020 - Effective Policy Approaches to Sectoral Issues focuses on the practicalities of sectoral policymaking in order to uncover what makes individual interventions successful
