Observations
Full fibre broadband availability has increased to 10%. The proportion of properties without access to a decent broadband connection (at least 10Mbit/s) remains at 2% based on current fixed network coverage.
Indicator 4.2.1 – Access to broadband
Metrics 4.2.1a and 4.2.1b show the UK fixed network coverage of a download speed of 10Mbit/s or higher. The map shows the proportion of premises in September 2019 within each local authority without access to a download speed of 10Mbit/s or higher.

Indicator 4.2.2 shows the UK fixed network coverage for full fibre services. A property is considered covered by full fibre if they can be connected within 14 days. The map shows the proportion of premises in September 2019 within local authority with access to full fibre broadband.
